Roles and Responsibilities
As a Revenue Collector at the LCRB, you will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Revenue Collection: Engaging with the public to collect various forms of revenue such as taxes, licenses, and permits.
- Reconciliation and Submission of Revenue: Ensuring that all collected revenue is accurately reconciled and submitted in a timely manner, maintaining precise records.
- Preparation of Periodic Revenue Reports: Compiling detailed reports on revenue collection trends and performance to support decision-making.
- Revenue Inspection: Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with revenue regulations, assessing businesses for adherence to licensing and tax requirements.
- Other Duties: You may also be tasked with additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of D (Plain) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution, which is essential for handling data management and reporting.
