Kiss 100 FM presenter Andrew Kibe was arrested after a confrontation with three police officers.
The video which has since gone viral on social media shows Andrew Kibe confronting the three police officers who had tried to effect the arrest.
Speaking to the Kenyan Digest Kibe stated that the incident happened at a car wash in Hurlingham where him and his friends were.
“The police wanted to arrest us without informing us of the reason and that’s why I snapped,” he spoke on the phone.
He added that despite the police officers being from Kilimani Police Station, they were booked at Kileleshwa Police Station.
“We were very many people, we were freed after paying Ksh 10,000, you know how it goes,” he explained.
When Kenyans.co.ke asked whether Kibe and his friends were assaulted, he responded that the altercation did not get physical.
The video which was recorded by a witness showed the police officers raising their batons at the presenter as he appeared unmoved.
“You can’t just arrest people as you wish, tell us what we are accused of? We were talking with him nicely,” Kibe stated as he pointed at one of the officers.
“You’ve poked your nose into our conversation, step back,” the presenter addressed another of the officers.
The officer was offended and pointed at Kibe with his baton, further igniting the radio presenter’s outrage.
“You are a Kenyan like me, don’t raise that thing to me!” Kibe roared in anger as he refrained from cursing.
